Opinion hearing held for unexcused senator absences
Senate brought in Marlys Brenning, 21, senior of Culbertson, for an opinion hearing of Klueber V. Tedesse due to an unexcused absence of Natneal Tedesse, junior of Chadron, Monday.
“The court finds that the lack of communication of time regular Senate meetings constitutes a good cause for the court to excuse the absence,” Brenning said.
The decision was made to excuse his absence, but Chief Justice Samantha Merrill, senior of Oral, South Dakota, addressed the importance of senators reading their by-laws.
