Clubs have extra week to donate money to CAB
With no decision made about The Big Event, CAB will allow another week for clubs to co-sponsor The Big Event. The deadline for clubs to donate is Monday.
“Please relay this to your clubs, especially if they haven’t told me yes or no yet,” CAB Chair Kimberly Hernandez, senior of Scottsbluff, said.
As of Monday night’s meetings, clubs have currently donated $3,093.92 in funds for The Big Event. CAB Vice Chair of Finances Isaac Langan, senior of McCook, thanked clubs for donating and expressed appreciation for the continued help.
“Great job finding funds to promise to The Big Event. We really appreciate that, and you guys are awesome,” Langan said.
Langan also reported that clubs have returned receipts, totaling $28,714.79.
Clubs are able to order items off of Amazon once again and will need to verify purchases with Student Activities Coordinator Megan Northrup. Previously, accounts were frozen and clubs could not make purchases on cards. Card purchases can also be made on purchases at Walmart.
CAB’s Free Movie Night saw 80 students, Sunday. The movies shown were “The Grinch,” “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” and “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”
The last Free Bowling Night of the semester will be hosted by CAB from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, at Hilltop Lanes. Free pizza will also be included.
The Pit and Omega Phi Rho will be co-sponsoring Video Game Night from 7 p.m. – midnight, Thursday, Nov. 29 in The Pit. The event will feature six games: including Madden 19, Fortnite, FIFA 19, NBA 2K19, Injustice 2 and Mario Kart.
