CAB members approve $10,800 spring semester budget
The Spring 2019 budget of $10,800 was introduced by Vice Chair of Finance Isaac Langan, senior of McCook, and approved by majority vote from representatives.
The budget will be used for four Free Bowling Nights and four Free Movie Nights. This semester’s Free Movie Nights will cost $6,000, and Free Bowling Nights will cost $4,800. This year’s budget is down from spring 2018’s $20,000 budget.
Student Trustee Dawson Brunswick, senior of McCook, and incoming Student Trustee Sam Klammer, junior of Hastings, both traveled to Lincoln for a Board of Trustees meeting. The meeting included a Senator’s Reception as well. Klammer said it was helpful to shadow Brunswick before assuming Student Trustee duties.
“Being with the current trustee and seeing what he does, knowing how meetings work and what you are expected to bring as a student was helpful,” Klammer said.
Brunswick said the Nebraska senators voiced their support the Nebraska Talent Scholarship program, saying they “really liked” the idea of the program.
