Early bird gets the pancake

The smell of freshly baked pancakes filled the hallways of Edna Work Hall Friday morning. Resident Adviser Colton Molcyk 22, senior of McCook made pancakes for students before they went to class.

“People have class at eight, so I wanted to make them breakfast before class.” Molcyk said of his event.

Molcyk hosted this RA event solo, setting up and preparing breakfast for the students who wanted to start the day with the fluffy round goodness.

Around 35 to 40 people ate a pancake breakfast in the Edna Conference room which also serves as a kitchen. The breakfast included made-to-order pancakes with toppings ranging from chocolate chips to fresh fruit. Pancakes were served from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for students and staff. Food events like the pancake breakfast are held on campus frequently. Students that want to know more about events should look at the CSC rewards app according to Molcyk.

Two more upcoming food events are a milkshake night at 6 p.m. Monday, in the Hub, and at 7 p.m., Feb. 6 coffee and karaoke will be in the Edna Hall lobby. All programs are listed on the CSC rewards app weekly.
