Over 40 students attend Kahoot night

A Scottsbluff sophomore is walking to a different beat after winning over the 40 students who attended Kahoot Night on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the Hub. Kahoot is a popular group-activity based trivia game that is played on smartphones.

Sarah Wagoner, 19, sophomore of Scottsbluff took home a speaker during the semi-annual event. Devin Fulton,  23, senior of Glenrock, Wyoming, helped run the event. He stated that there were about eight rounds played during the event. Wagoner was among the top three winners three of the eight rounds played.

Wagoner commented that she was excited to win the prize and didn’t really expect it to happen.

“I love these kind of events. There’s a nice sense of community and happiness and the games are really fun in of themselves.” Wagoner said.

The other top winners were Pete Brown, a freshman of Oxford, Damien Zuniga, a sophomore of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chris Wright, a junior of Alliance, and Renee Redfern, a sophomore of Chadron.

“I want to bring people together and get them out of their dorms, especially with winter coming, people are going to start hibernating.” Colton Alexander, 20, junior, of Bridgeport said. As the coordinator of the event he felt that there was a good turnout, especially for the time that the event started.

The games quizzed the students on various topics about Spongebob, psychology, Disney, breeds of dogs, The Office, and Friends.
