“Falleyball” celebrates with fall games and snacks

RLA staff from Edna hosted “Falleyball”, drawing 45 students to the Edna complex Friday evening for a night of volleyball and fall celebration.

According to Alexis Heller, 19, sophomore of Wisner, “Falleyball” is a good opportunity for students to create a fall snack and play volleyball with students possibly meet new friends.

Warm, melted caramel and chocolate paired with peanuts and crushed pretzels were offered to students along with an apple on a stick. Sancks were paired with warm apple cider and hot chocolate.

“I like the opportunity to do activities with friends,” Madisen Grenstiner, 20, sophomore of Wasta, South Dakota, said.

The event gave students a chance to experience the last days of fall by playing sand volleyball, ladder ball, bean bag toss and enjoying treats.

The event was led by Heller along with Edna resident advisers, Brendan Fangmeier, 19, sophomore of Hebron and Kate Keffeler, 19, sophomore of Holdredge.

“I feel the event was a success considering this was the first event any of us have led. This is the first event of its kind, but we plan to host and improve the event in the future.” Heller said.

RLA events will continue this weekend with Live Clue Night at 7 p.m. Friday in the Reta King Library and a Husker Party at 1:30 p.m. in the Hub Saturday.
