RLA event lets students design popular phone accessory

RLA hosted an evening crafting event on Saturday. Upon signing in, attendants received blank white pop sockets, a popular accessery that helps with carrying and holding smart phones.

Students were able to arrive whenever they wanted between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to decorate their own pop sockets. Snacks were available to enjoy and small prizes were randomly handed out. Students could sit at any table placed in the middle of the Hub.Supplies like paint were available for participants to design a pop socket.

Due to the event following the volleyball match, there was not a large crowd of students all at once, but a comfortable flow that allowed table space for each person. With paint, stickers and glitter at every table, students were not limited by any means. They could express themselves in numerous ways.

Music softly played in the background in order to not distract the attendants from desigining their pop sockets. The music kept a flow of rhytm as the room wasn’t completely silent. It was a nice way of relaxing for students who starting the second half of the semester.
