RLA hosts push- up contest

 RLA  hosted a push-up competition 10 a. m. Wednesday in the Student Center. Students participated doing the most push- ups they possibly can in a minute in order to win a prize. There was a total of 19 contenders. The RLA spent a total of $50 on two blenders for the top two contestants and five water bottles for the remaining prize winners. 

 Earl Johnson Jr. freshman of Prosper, Texas finished first place for the males with a strong 88 push-ups in just a minute.

“I felt like I needed to prove myself that I can do it regardless of the amount. Johnson said. “Once I got to sixty and I knew that I only needed sixteen more to be on top I gave it my all, and I made sure I wouldn’t stop until I got to the top,” Johnson said. 

Kenzey Kanno freshman of Mitchell, Nebraska finished first place for the females with a total of 45 push-ups in a minute.

 “I wasn’t even going to do the contest then a friend and I decided to do it,” Kanno said.
