Meet your senator: Colton Brienza

Colton Brienza, 20, of Buffalo, South Dakota, is in his first year being High Rise senator.
Why did you decide to run?
Brienza decided to run because he wanted to help with improvements around campus and to be a voice for students.
“I want all students to be able to come to me, not just High Rise students,” said Brienza.
When students have a problem or an idea for campus, they can go to Colton Brienza as he will do his best to get their voice heard.
What are your platforms?
Some committees Brienza is a part of is the health & wellbeing, campus improvement, and the homecoming committee.
In five years, where do you see yourself?
Brienza is a junior majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in psychology. Once he is through with college, Brienza’s plan is to go into the Navy.
What are your goals as a senator?
Some goals Brienza has while being in senate is to leave a legacy. Brienza wants to be able to create something great and have it stay at CSC for a long time. One of the committees is working on bringing recycling back to campus and he hopes to see it grow in the next couple of years and have it last at CSC.
What message do you have for students?
Brienza wants students to know that even though they are representing dorm rooms, they are representing all students. If you are a student that lives off campus, you are able to come to him or another senator with anything.
