Chapin Street not closed – for now

Chapin Street on CSC’s campus between Math and Science Building and Burkhiser Complex has been one-way northbound since Nov. 9, when construction crews placed a fence halfway  across the road. 

Signs stating the road is closed to southbound traffic have not stopped some vehicles from traveling in the wrong direction. CSC administration says it is working to modify existing signs to help people more easily understand that the road is currently one-way.  

A determination could be made at a later date as to whether the road will be closed completely during construction. Administration will notify the public if any changes are made.
