Best lessons are toughest

Hard professors are the best professors, maybe not short term but long-term. 

I don’t mean those professors whose classes are impossible to pass or give too much homework, I mean those that challenge you.  

My favorite professors are not ones whose classes I necessarily enjoy going to or one whose tests I barely have to study to pass or ones who rarely give homework. 

The best professors are the ones that actually teach, I don’t mean just lecture but teach and teach you how to apply the things you learn to the real world.  

A lot of students I know are really just going through life uninterested and if that’s not bad enough so are some of the professors.  

As much as I enjoy a quiz with questions that even my little sister could answer, in the long run how much information I am missing out on because teachers don’t want to make classes too hard.  

I’m not saying we need more tests or homework, we have plenty of that, I’m saying that most of the homework that I do have is busy work at best and not made to help me in the future.  

So I will stand by some of the professors that everyone complains about, because those are the professors that are really teaching.
