Two clubs founded this week
Frontier Liberty Organization and Alpha Kappa Kappa join other campus clubs
Two new clubs are joining the ranks of other student organizations governed by the Campus Activities Board.
CAB Chair Ruth Mencia made the announncement at Monday’s General Assembly with Student Senate and CAB.
“This one is Alpha Kappa Kappa Chapter, Kappa Delta Pi, so within their mission statement; is to promote influence in and recognizing outstanding contribution to education,” Mencia said.
Kappa Delta Pi, according to its website, is an “international Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching.”
Mencia then announced a second new club called the Frontier Liberty Organization. Its constitution preamble, in part, states the following:
“We the young people of the United States, in order to preserve American ideals in the face of division, spread the wings of democracy in a cloud of censorship, promote a rebirth of laissez-fair economics despite an overbearing government, and sow the seeds of a promising future, hereby establish this Constitution for the Frontier Liberty Organization.”
