Chadron State Park begins road work

On April 12, Chadron State Parks began repaving its 5.6 miles of paved roadways.

Some areas of the park may be closed off or difficult to access until the road work is complete in May.

The first five days of construction involve milling, the next three patching and finishing with 10 days of paving and two days of painting.

The project is funded through the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s Recreation Road Fund. The repaving is part of Chadron State Park’s upgrades following the centennial of the park’s dedication.
