CAB Chair resigns after suspension; vice chair takes position

During Student Senate’s Monday meeting, Chief Justice Nathan Cronin announced that Meron Ameha, chair of the Campus Activity Board, had resigned.

Cronin did not give a reason behind Ameha’s resignation.

The announcement follows the news of Ameha’s suspension. During the Oct. 11 Student Senate meeting, Cronin said that Ameha would be suspended for one month due to negligence of duty.

An email sent by The Eagle to Ameha Wednesday afternoon requesting comment went unanswered as of press time Wednesday night.

Cronin said that Elham Hussian Zeinuddin, CAB vice chair of programming and public relations, will assume the role Ameha left vacant due to the line of succession stated in the CAB bylaws. Now, the vice chair of programming and public relations position remains vacant.
