Social Science club sponsors events to honor MLK

To commemorate Martin Luther King Jr., the Social Science Club is sponsoring events starting Monday.

A march beginning at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Third and Main Street will kick off the week. The march will end at the CSC Student Center.

Following the march,  lunch will be provided at noon in the Student Center Ballroom. Then at 1 p.m., there will be a student discussion panel in the Ballroom.

There will be no classes on Monday in recognition of the holiday. This is the third year CSC will recognize the national holiday. 

On Tuesday, the Social Science Club will be co-sponsoring an open mic night with Sigma Tau Delta at 6 p.m. in the Student Center Amphitheater. 

On Wednesday, there will be a book of the month presentation of “The Underground Railroad” by Colson Whitehead at 5 p.m. in the Student Center Ponderosa Room.
