construction hits delays; completion still set for fall
The final stage of construction of the Math Science Center of Innovative Learning (COIL) has been met, and with it a few small delays.
Bryan Zutavern, vice president of Student Senate, announced that there have been some small delays with the construction of the Math Science COIL during Monday’s Student Senate meeting.
However, the project is still on time for completion in the fall.
“It’ll still be done by next fall,” Zutavern said. “But they’re missing some outside, kinda small, things. Like a panel here and a panel there type things.”
President Randy Rhine said that the items that need attention are simply part of the “punch list” that needs to be completed before a final walk through can be held and the building can be accepted from the contractor.
“All this is a normal part of the process,” he said. “Most of the issues have to do with finishes, installation of fixtures, etc.”
