Student Senate swears in three students

During the first full meeting of the newly elected Student Senate, three students were sworn in to fill in some of the gaps created after the election.

Grace Redinger, sophomore of Hastings, and Emma Stewart, sophomore of Columbus, were sworn in as new senators at large.

“I am looking forward to being a senator because I want to make a difference on campus for present and future students,” Stewart said.

Molly Langhorst, sophomore of Clarkson, who was previous a senator at large, took on the new position of liberal arts senator.

At Student Senate’s last meeting, which took place on Monday, Feb. 28, the new executive board was sworn in.

Olivia Bryant won the election over presidential candidate Sullivan Jones, with 265 (68%) of the total 393 votes cast.

Bryan Zuatavern, who was a previous senator of BMS, was sworn in as Student Senate vice president.
