Former CSC student arrested in connection with sexual assault case

A former Chadron State College student who was arrested last week in connection with a sexual assault, is out on bond following his release Monday, the Dawes County Sheriff Office said.  

On Tuesday, March 22, Malik A. Ahmed-Hosie, 19, was arrested on a warrant that accused him of First-Degree Sexual Assault, a class II felony, a Chadron Police Department (CPD) press release states.  

CPD was called to the Chadron Community Hospital on Sunday, March 20, for a report of sexual assault. Statements were made and evidence was collected.  

On March 22, Investigator Dusty Bryner obtained a search warrant based on the information collected and searched a Chadron residence, the press release states. Clothing and photographic evidence were collected, and interviews were conducted.  

Ahmed-Hosie, who was among those interviewed, was arrested following his interview. 

His bond was set at 10% of $100,000.  

CSC is cooperating with CPD’s investigation.
