Nebraska State Parks are looking for seasonal workers

Many state parks are looking for seasonal workers, positions range from wranglers to housekeepers.

Over 45 state parks and recreation areas are hiring across the state. 

Many positions that require no previous experience are available.

The hourly wage for many positions starts at $12 an hour with opportunities for increase. 

The hourly wage is up 33% from previous years for seasonal staff.

Fort Robinson State Park is hiring for  restaurant staff and wrangler positions.

Positions for office staff, groundskeeping, security and kiosk staff are available at Lack McConaughy State Recreation Area. 

Fort Kearny State Recreation Area is also hiring for groundskeeping, visitor center and booth staff positions. 

Other positions across Nebraska include tour guides, life guards, food service, office support, entrance booths, grounds maintenance, receptionists, laundry workers, wranglers, horticulture, housekeeping, naturalist, facility maintenance and security. 

“These positions offer hands-on training in an engaging park environment, where workers can appreciate nature and outdoor recreation” Nebraska Game and Parks website states. “Their service will impact the state’s premier vacation destinations and tourist attractions while benefiting the local economy.”
