NSCS Board approves funds request for Coffee Agriculture Pavilion

During its Nov. 10 meeting, the Nebraska State College System (NSCS) Board of Trustees approved CSC’s request to use up to $800,000 of uncommitted cash funds to complete the Coffee Agriculture Pavilion.
The uncommitted cash funds will be used to complete the extended roof structure over the arena portion of the facility.
The Pavilion was partially completed in 2013 and had a $2.9 million first phase. It is a 25,150 square foot arena that “provides room for hands-on instruction and demonstration with live animals, as well as space for seminars, and exhibitions and workshops with animals,” the CSC Rangland website states.
The extended room was not completed in 2013 because of insufficient funds at the time.
A start date for the construction of the roof extension has not been announced as of press time Wednesday evening.
