Men’s basketball win streak increases to five

CSC Men’s Basketball won their RMAC opener on Friday against Colorado State Pueblo and won again on Saturday against the New Mexico Highlands to set a five-game win streak.

“It’s great to start the conference season off 2-0 but we still have a lot of things to improve on,” CSC Men’s Basketball Head Coach Shane Paben, “we look at each week on its own terms and try to keep improving as a team in order to be successful that week.”

Chadron State junior, Bryce Latimer of Stone Mountain, Georgia was the teams’ leading scorer with 24 point on Friday, helping the Eagles to win 83-71.

Saturday the Eagles won 71-61 against the New Mexico Highlands.

CSC forward Josh Robinson a junior from Paris, Texas led the team in rebounds with 11 throughout the Saturday game.

Robinson was named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week after the back-to-back wins against Pueblo and New Mexico. Before Robinson came to CSC, he was the NJCAA Region II’s leading scorer in 2020-21 while playing for Grayson College in Denison, Texas. On Saturday against the New Mexico Highlands he led the Eagles in rebounds with 11 throughout the game.
