CPD acknowledges ‘rumor’s about on-going assault investigation

Chadron Police Department published a press release, Wednesday, Jan. 25 regarding an on-going investigation that has had ‘a lot of rumors’.

The press release states that there was a call regarding an assualt that the police department responded to, Saturday Jan. 21. 

The press release states that there was not a threat to the communtiy and that there is not an on-going threat. 

The ‘rumors’ acknowledged by the police department include that a stabbing, sexual assault and abduction took place.

The investigation remains open as of press time, Wednesday.

The press release states that, “when the investigation is complete, we will release any information that we can about the incident.”
