Jack Skavdahl, senior of Harrison, took home the win for the Eagles in saddle bronc riding. The CSC cowboy immediately set the bar for the rest of the contestants in the long-go with an 80 point ride. Skavdahl placed second with 78 points in the short-go to come out on top in the average with 160 points.
Two CSC cowgirls took reserve champion in the barrel racing and breakaway roping events respectively. Overall there were 91 barrel racers and 97 breakaway ropers competing.

Brooke McCully, a former CSC women’s basketball player of Mullen, roped a quick calf in the long-go with 2.1 seconds to split second place and third. McCully recorded a time of 2.0 seconds in the short-go to earn her a second place average ranking with 135 points.
Another former CSC basketball player, Elle Ravenscroft, junior of Nenzel, placed in the top ten for both rounds, placing her sixth in the average for her first ever college rodeo.
Grant Turek, senior of St. Paul, was the CSC rodeo champion for the tie-down roping in 2022. This year, Turek had consecutive placings of fourth in the long-go and the short-go ending up fourth for the average.
Colten Storer, graduate student of Arthur, placed seventh in the long-go and split eighth through tenth in the short-go to finish out tenth overall in the average.
