During the matchup between Chadron State College and Western Colorado University on Nov. 8, several members of Chadron Hospital and Prairie Pines Lodge were recognized on the field for their outstanding service to the region. The recognitions took place during CSC’s final home game of the regular season, which ended with a decisive Eagles victory and secured their place in the upcoming playoffs.
Honorees included Tim Frye, Administrator of Prairie Pines Lodge. Frye has served the community for 19 years and is a U.S. Navy veteran who was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz and deployed in support of Operation Southern Watch.
Also recognized was Jean Martin, Director of Respiratory Therapy at Chadron Hospital. Martin has dedicated 47 years to the organization, beginning her career in Nursing in 1978 before transitioning to Respiratory Therapy in 1988.
Jon Reiners, CEO of Chadron Hospital, was also honored. Reiners, a Nebraska native, joined the hospital in January 2025 and is currently completing his MBA with an emphasis in healthcare management at Chadron State College. He was joined on the field by members of the hospital’s executive leadership team: Brenda Rhembrandt, VP of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer; Dan Anderson, VP of Human Resources and Support Services; and Jennifer Brown, Chief Financial Officer.
Chadron Hospital expressed appreciation to Chadron State College for highlighting the work of local healthcare leaders and for inviting them to be part of the event. The afternoon served as both a celebration of community service and a high-energy sendoff as the Eagles advance to postseason play.
