Chadron golfers strike well in Pueblo
The Chadron State women’s golf team continued their turnaround season Sunday and Monday at Colorado posting the third-best team score in program history at Colorado State University – Pueblo’s El Cheapo Classic.

Chadron State’s home games scheduled for this past weekend were wisely moved to Colorado State University-Pueblo to avoid the games being cancelled by Winter Storm Ulmer, but the cold seemed to follow the Eagles offense which averaged just 2.75 runs per game.

CSC cowboy Kalane Anders, senior of Bayard, tied for first place in tie down and cowgirl Quincy Segelke, junior of Snyder, Colorado, was second in barrel racing to lead the Eagles in Gillette, Wyoming, this weekend as the rodeo team’s spring season began.

For the third time this season, CSC junior Ashton Hallsted, of Casper, Wyoming, bested her season-best weight throw from last year, earning her first place at the Dave Little Invitational Track and Field Meet at Black Hills State on Saturday, and RMAC Field Athlete of the Week honors.

With an 80-69 win over New Mexico Highlands University, Friday, followed by a 71-62 victory against CSU-Pueblo, Saturday, the Eagles’ men’s basketball team has done something no other CSC men’s basketball team has done since 2005 – earn a winning record.
