The Chadron State women’s basketball team took the University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers to the court last Saturday in the Armstrong Gymnasium.

The Chadron State women’s basketball team faced the Western State Mountaineers, but could not pull through without two starting players, Kaitlin Petri, senior guard of Kearney, and Marla Munsen, sophomore guard of Hershey.

Although it has been an exciting early portion of the Chadron State College men’s basketball schedule, the Eagles were still lacking a signature win to their start.

Despite the sensational scoring outings from juniors Kevin McClelland, of Long Beach, Calif., with 18 points, and Moala Tautuaa, of junior San Francisco, with 13, the Chadron State men’s basketball team was unable to overcome some late foul trouble that enabled their Black Hills State counterpart to pull down the stretch for a 76-67 victory.

The Chadron State women’s basketball team held the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets to an 82-79 exhibition-game victory Tuesday evening in Armstrong Gym.

The Chadron State women’s basketball team overpowered the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Hardrocker’s with a final score of 71-65 last Friday in Armstrong.
