On the Bright Side: Turn your complaints into compliments

This may come as a shock to some, but no one is perfect. 

Everyone has flaws, and some are more bothersome than others. Some flaws are able to be fixed, while others are just part of who we are. One thing I think everyone could work on (including myself) is complaining. I don’t think there is anything more draining than being around people who complain all the time or always have something negative to say about something.

Post what feels right

Over the last few days I have noticed a rise in supporting body acceptance on social media. Influencers on Instagram are posting “bare face” photos with captions supporting their natural look. I see some of my friends postings photos of them just waking up with captions like “I woke up like this #flawless.” 

After seeing so many people follow this trend that seems to fluctuate throughout the year, I decided to comment on it as well.

Make your health a priority

I really enjoy school. I know that sounds crazy, but I love getting to meet new people, go to events and hang out with friends. On top of that, I have to do school work, which is not my favorite, but I have to get it done. 

With all of this going on, it is pretty easy to get caught up in the hustle-and-bustle of everyday life. Sometimes I forget to take care of myself and put my needs first.
