Eagles start season 2-2-1 in FL
The CSC softball team opened its season with two wins, two losses, and a tie. CSC dealt losses to Lynn University, Boca Raton, Florida, and Palm Beach Atlantic University, Palm Beach, Florida, but lost to Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, and Saint Leo University, Saint Leo, Florida. The game against Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, Florida, ended in a 3-3 tie, due to a rain delay.

The CSC men’s basketball team fell to Adams State University, Alamosa, Colorado, 94-78, and previously ranked No. 20 Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado, 90-72. The Eagles are now 6-12, 4-10 in conference play.

The CSC wrestling team improved to an 11-1 record, courtesy of two wins over RMAC opponents, Colorado State University-Pueblo and Adams State University. It was the first victory over CSU-Pueblo under Head Coach Brett Hunter.

Eagles soar past Griffins, fall to Colorado Mesa
After a five-game losing streak, the Eagles finally put another win in the column against Westminster College, Salt Lake City, with a final score of 69-62. The following night, the Eagles struggled to contain the RMAC’s leading scorer Ryan Stephan, of Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction, who led the Mavericks to an 85-72 victory.

The men’s basketball team let two more games slip away, falling to a 5-10 record, 3-8 in conference play. New Mexico Highlands University defeated the Eagles, 90-83, and Western New Mexico University beat the Eagles in overtime, 74-70. It was WNMU’s first win of the season.

Men’s basketball on 3-game losing streak
The CSC men’s basketball team dropped two games against South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and Black Hills State University. The Eagles lost to the Hardrockers, 73-56, and the Yellow Jackets, 77-75. CSC is now on a three game skid.

After the short holiday break for the athletes, the men’s basketball team faced off against Western State Colorado University, and Colorado State University-Pueblo. The men split against their RMAC opponents, beating Western, 83-78, and falling to the ThunderWolves, 71-63. The Eagles are now 5-6, 3-4 in conference play.

The CSC men’s basketball team finished 2015 out on a three game losing streak falling to Metropolitan State University-Denver, 63-59, and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, 86-63. The Eagles fell below .500 on the season, with a current record of 4-5, 2-3 in conference play.

The Chadron State men’s basketball team faced off against its South Dakota Rivals, Black Hills State University, and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in an RMAC double-header. CSC beat BHSU 74-59, and lost to SDSM 66-60. The Eagles are now 4-3 on the year with a 2-1 conference record.
