Spring football season kicks off Saturday
The Chadron State football team will resume practice on Saturday with more than 90 players preparing for the 2014 season. The Eagles will have 14 additional practices leading up to the annual spring game at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26. All practices are open to the public.

Saturday, the Eagles’ football team improved their record to 7-2 overall and 6-1 in the RMAC with a 59-17 win over Western New Mexico University, Silver City. CSC’s quarterback, Jonn McLain, junior of Chadron, completed 21 of 29 passes for 135 yards and three TD’s, bringing his career touchdown total to 70.

Eagles drop out of rankings but set records
Chadron State remains second in the RMAC football rankings following a loss to Colorado State University-Pueblo, 51-42, and a win against Black Hills State University, Spearfish, S.D., 43-13.
