There would be no fourth quarter rally this year as the Eagles defeated the Angelo State Rams 19-7 on Saturday.
“The guys were definitely motivated to play after last year’s four touchdowns in the fourth quarter comeback loss,” Head Football Coach Jay Long said.
Montana State upends Eagles in opener
Last Thursday, the Eagles were unable to overcome the Bobcats’ roaring offensive attack. With help from an experienced quarterback, and a scrappy defense, Montana State defeated Chadron 33-6.

Chadron State’s football team kicked off its spring game at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Elliott Field. The graduate assistant coaches split the squad into two separate teams, Cardinal and White. Head Coach Jay Long invited RMAC officials to referee the game, which helped the incoming players’ to play under real game conditions, Long said.
