Eight names were added to the Eagles’ Athletics Hall of Fame, Saturday, and inductees were honored at halftime of Chadron State’s football game with New Mexico Highlands, before a dinner ceremony that evening. 

The Eagles came back from a fourth quarter deficit for the third time this season, pulling of an exciting 43-38 victory over the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys, at Elliot Field, Saturday.

All great numbers for Dixie State, whose offense out-gained and out-possessed Chadron State during their 30-18 loss to the Eagles, Saturday, at Elliott Field. 

It didn’t take long for the Eagles to jump out to a lead against the Western Colorado Mountaineers, Saturday, at Don Beebe Stadium, as CSC rode early momentum to a 40-22 homecoming victory.

Chadron State football pulled off a 38-34 upset over number two ranked Colorado Mesa, in Grand Junction, Colorado, Saturday, in a thriller where the teams combined for 1128 yards.

Hours before kickoff against the Chadron State Eagles, Colorado Mesa football players were told at a team breakfast that their teammate and junior running back Brett Ojiyi, 21, of Los Angeles, was shot to death earlier that morning. 

The Eagles’ football team made big plays on defense late in the game to get the hard fought 31-21 victory over the Fort Lewis Skyhawks noon at Elliott Field.
