Enchiladas, piñatas, and a little Enrique Iglesias were exactly what CSC students needed to spice up their frosty Monday night.

What do musical chairs, video game tournaments, Spice Up Your Ramen, board game nights, Oye! Que Pasa?, Dining in the Dark, Book Nerd Triathlon, and a Pinterest party all have in common? They are all RLA and The Pit events hosted on CSC’s campus.

A crowd of community members and students gathered 3 p.m., Sunday at the Chadron Arts Center to hear CSC’s Choral Ensembles, presented by the Chadron State College Department of Music.

Thursday night seemed more exciting than usual with students in Halloween costumes coming to the Student Center to attend the Haunted House and Halloween Dance.

Fabulous.

That was how audience members described the final fall Grave Lecture, “A Tribute to Pat Metheny,” by CSC music instructor Charles Carey 7 p.m., Tuesday in Memorial Hall, Room 126.

The public dressed in their Halloween best Friday to attend the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Moonlight Madness block party downtown on Main Street. Games, activities, and trick-or-treating were from 4-6 p.m.

After more than two years, two trips to Omaha, and more than $5,000 in repairs, a damaged sculpture has returned home to Chadron State College.
