Campus Activities Board

Andy Martin, CAB chair, was sworn in during the CAB meeting. Chelsea Evans was sworn in as CAB vice chair of programming, and Mikayla Gallagher was sworn in the new position of vice chair of relations.

At the next meeting, Kelsey Empfield, CAB Chair, will be stepping down from her position on the executive board. The Vice Chair of Programming Andy Martin will move into the Chair position and nominations for Vice Chair of Programming are now open.

CAB voted to change its bylaws and will take the changes to Senate for approval Monday. CAB plans to change the members of the executive board and add the position of Vice Chair of Relations.

Initially thought to arrive at the beginning of the semester, the furniture arrival has been set back due to back order, Strong said.
“We’re trying to make the Student Center a little more friendly,” Student Activities Coordinator Laure Sinn said.

A total of $6,000 was allocated to CAB for Week of Welcome events including, but not limited to, the hypnotist, T-shirts, pool party, and printing of posters and schedules.

Submitted changes to the CAB’s constitution were thoroughly discussed among the executive board and the representatives at Tuesday’s meeting. Constitutional changes discussed include the attendance policy and the presence of the student trustee at CAB meetings.

To start off Tuesday’s Campus Activities Board meeting, Sean Munger, Nearly Naked Mile event coordinator, spoke to remind clubs that if they are willing to donate what money they have left over in their budget toward the mile, it would be greatly appreciated.
