Senate looks for student input

Senate President Katrina Hurley said the Book Ends Coffee Shop in Reta E. King Library is losing about $20,000 per year. Kathy Stokey, administration and finance office assistant said Dale Grant, vice president of finance and administration, said the coffee shop is losing $26,000 per year and right now Vice Presidents Charles Snare, of academic affairs, and Jon Hansen, of enrollment management, marketing & student services, are taking that loss from their state accounts, according to Grant.

Spring: a time of renewal

Spring is the best season, for multiple reasons. First off, the environment is thriving. Everything starts to turn green, flowers bloom, and the outdoors come alive once again. Baby animals are born, and life continues its cycle. Finally, we gain some hope that winter is nearing an end. Here in Nebraska do we still get freak snowstorms? Absolutely. Unlike winter, however, usually the snow doesn’t stick and is gone in a couple of days.
