Despite an off-balance 3-point buzzer-beater from the opponent, the Eagles had a thrilling 66–64 victory at home over Regis University in their first conference game of the season. The Eagles improved to a 1-4 record.

With the basketball season now in full swing, the men’s team won its first two games at home against Dickinson State University and Montana State University-Northern. The team beat Dickinson State and MSU-Northern with scores of 84-79 and 69-61, respectively. CSC’s record is now 2-1, with the only loss coming from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
