Chadron State men’s cross country team opened its season with a win at the South Dakota School of Mines Invitational at Founders Park in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Defensive domination
Redemption from last year’s rough season, wasn’t easy, but CSC, led by a dominating defensive performance, earned a win in the season opener against Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado, 17-10. In the 2015 season, the Skyhawks downed the Eagles 47-34, ruining the chances of an over .500 season.

The new coach said he wants to change the mindset of the players, not just at meets, but in practice as well.

As the 2016 season approaches, the CSC volleyball team, under first year Head Coach Riann Mullis, look to improve on last year’s heartbreaking season. In 2015, the Eagles fell just short of the post season, with a record of 9-17, 8-10 in the conference.
