The CSC Library is sponsoring “The Write Track” as a new extracurricular initiative for college students and other interested community members designed to encourage and improve writing skills.

This goal is accomplished through creative writing prompts, extemporaneous writing sessions, and feedback and peer-review of other attending participants.

Jessica van Cleeve, junior of Chadron, performs on the alto saxaphone during the Jazz Birds’ first performance. Van Cleeve has been performing with the jazz group for two years. The ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Sandy Schaefer, gave their first performance of the semester March 3 at Wrecker’s Roadhouse.

Jan Medina, 19, sophomore of San Juan, Puerto Rico, performs a strong Wii bowling stroke February 26 sponsored by RLA and held in the Gold Room.

Adrianne Watson’s artwork is currently on display in Memorial Hall’s main gallery. The artist will appear at a public reception from 4 – 6 p.m. March 25 at Memorial Hall.

The faculty recital took place 3 p.m. Sunday in the CSC Sandoz Center Chicoine Atrium. Members of the faculty performed in various music genres showcasing vocals and instruments including wind, percussion, guitar and piano.

Leslie Caswell, senior of Chadron, participates in the fashion show Feb. 11 in the Student Center Ballroom. The show was part of “Ladies’ Night,” a formal event that featured live music and vendors selling jewelry and cosmetics.
