Franklin Annis’ recent offering in the October 25th edition of The Eagle, “Gun rights include right to own any firearm,” however, exhausts any reasonable latitude accorded to such forums and fails to meet basic standards of acceptable journalism.

Letter: Kelly Clarke on O’Boyle

I didn’t know this school endorsed hypocrisy.

Vice President for Academic & Student affairs Dr. Lois Veath has been allowed to take another position before her contract at Chadron is complete. Meanwhile, the school terminated Coach O’Boyle, only to discover he secured another position. So they brought him back and reprimanded him. That is not fair.

Letter: Jim Margetts on Mormon faith

In a recent editorial (“Romney’s faith is fair game, to be fair” October 27, 2011), Aaron Gonzalez’ description of Mormon beliefs paints at best an incomplete picture. I would urge Eagle readers to also investigate other perspectives on the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the formal name of the church) through websites such as mormon.org when formulating their own opinions of the faith.
