Society today is becoming more and more progressive in granting people equal rights and respect, however, a group called The Return of Kings has recently begun pushing ideals of ‘neomasculinity.’ This group is led by Roosh Valizadeh and on Feb. 16, he wrote an article on his blog titled “How to Stop Rape,” which he has since declared to be satire.

In high school I played softball. I played from the time I was 5 years old until I was 20 years old. It was my love and passion for 15 years. I still consider myself to be a softball player because there will always be laces on my heart.

The issue of guns and where they should be allowed continues to be a heated debate. It seems that the federal government and anti-gun groups want to limit gun ownership as much as possible. In the meantime, many states are rushing to enact laws that protect their gun rights. One way states plan to do that is by enabling college students to carry guns on campuses.

As normal, everyday people we grow accustomed to comforts from an everyday schedule. We go home, turn on the television, watch a football game, or do anything at the end of a long day at work. Sometimes, this can turn into a reoccurring cycle. It’s good to have the comfort of familiarity when we go home, as it puts our mind at ease. However, this comfort can also come with danger.
