Chadron State Community Chorus celebrated the centennial of Chadron State College by singing a selection from American popular music from the 1910s on Sunday. The choir was directed by Una Taylor, associate professor, and accompanied by Mimi Norman.

Deb Keim, office assistant in academic Affairs, is leaving the CSC campus after 33 years. Keim is an alumnus of Chadron State. After getting her one-year degree, she applied for a job and has been here ever since.

The Chinese call it Chi, the Navy from “Avatar” calls it the Tree of Life, and Leslie Caswell calls it a “belly breath.”

The “Gotcha!” event has taken CSC by storm this week as over 130 students and faculty participate in the campus-wide event. “The turnout is beyond my expectations,” said Nathan Pindell, “Gotcha!” coordinator and referee. “Especially the faculty turnout. I wasn’t expecting that.”

Since 1819 many colleges and universities around the nation have been training civilians for military combat.

For months, students, including myself, have been getting pumped for the campus-wide event, “Gotcha!” However, at Thursday’s opening event, where the rules of the game were explained, the excitement turned briefly into disappointment.

RLA hosted an event for students to experience having disabilities in a fun and creative way on Wednesday night.
