Students learn about CSC through Photo Bingo
By Olivia Newton
CSC students had the opportunity to learn about CSC, its faculty and staff and the buildings on campus Thursday, Nov. 14, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Student Center Bordeaux and Lakota Rooms during photo bingo night.
Students were given a Bingo card that had places in Sparks Hall, Crites Hall, Reta E. King Library, Student Center, and the residence dorms and were able to work in groups or individually to find the locations listed until they got a double bingo.
For students to capture the important locations around campus, they had to capture a photo to show that they went to the location.
Janessa Carly, 20, senior of Dalton, said she “wanted to do something different” for a campus event.
This event, sponsored by RLA, Project Strive and YOU@CSC, is a part of a series called Capture and Learn put on by Project Strive and YOU@CSC. Over the past two months, various events put on by the groups have been used to help students find the resources they need around campus.
“I hope this photo bingo is helping students find the resources that are available to them,” Amanda Lewin, Project Strive retention specialist, said.
The following night, students fought to see who has the best Kahoot score and who knows CSC the best.
“The students who took part in the Photo Bingo will have a foot in the door for the Kahoot game tonight,” Carly said.
