Campus Activities Board

CAB hosted an open forum to discuss the use of student activity fees in the NPAC improvements fund for a new outdoor track facility during Tuesday’s CAB meeting.

CAB members voted in Sadie Sheppard, junior of Fargo, North Dakota to fill the position of Vice Chair of Public Relations, after CAB re-opened nominations Tuesday night. Kenade Tomjack, sophomore of Atkinson, was nominated to run against Sheppard. 

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) partnered with Northwest Community Action Partnership to set up trailers for donations.

Student Activities Director Megan Northrup presented next year’s homecoming theme ideas at the meeting to get CAB’s input.

Ideas for the 2018 Week of Welcome are now being accepted. So far, the idea of going to Chadron State Park for a day has been suggested.

CAB Treasurer Tierra Snyder, senior of Beatrice, reminded attendees that Scholastic Day is this Friday.

CAB Vice Chair of Finance, Tierra Snyder, raised the concern of Phil Cary, who was a math professor at CSC for over 20 years.

Megan Northrup mentioned that although there are a lot of events going on around campus, sometimes event times clash.

Chadron State College Veterans Association was voted in as an official club Tuesday during CAB.
