Chadron State’s men’s basketball team saw double action last weekend on Friday and Saturday when they faced Fort Lewis and Adams State.

The women’s basketball team had two games to finish before the athletes could go on Thanksgiving break. However, they headed into break with two more losses behind them, when Colorado Christian and Lubbock Christian both stole the show during the Holiday Inn Select Classic at Metro State.

Over Thanksgiving break, while many families were dining over a turkey feast, the Chadron State Men’s basketball team was on the road to Salt Lake City for the Westminister College Thanksgiving Tournament. On Friday, the Eagles faced the Montana Tech Orediggers.

The Chadron State men’s basketball team had their first home opener on Monday against University of Nebraska-Kearney. In two, 20 minute halves, the Lopers were able to defeat the Eagles 96-75.

On a crisp November afternoon, the Lady Eagle basketball team hosted Montana State University-Billings. The Yellowjackets took the win 79-64 when multiple people on the team scored in the double-digits.

Chadron State’s women’s basketball team has played two exhibition games to start of the 2012-13 season. The first was against Bringham Young University, played last Thursday, when the Eagles lost 89-51.

The women’s basketball team, after losing five games straight, now sits in the bottom half of the table due to an 8-17 record (8-13 RMAC.)

This weekend the Eagles fell to both the UCCS Mountain Lions, 71-70, and the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves, 79-52, on Friday and Saturday respectively.

The Chadron State women’s basketball team traveled to Denver this past weekend for the last away games of the season.
