Although the CSC cowboy’s did not continue their winning streak during the rodeo hosted by Casper College, members of both CSC’s men’s and women’s rodeo teams excelled this weekend in Casper.

The CSC cowboys lost their momentum and their lead in the Central Rocky Mountain Region team standings at the Colorado State University rodeo in Fort Collins.
However, with two rodeos left in the regular season, the CSC cowboys still have a shot at making it to Nationals as a team.

This weekend the Chadron State rodeo team traveled to Torrington, Wyoming, and the men’s team rode away with their second consecutive team title.

The second rodeo of the season, and only home rodeo this year, is at the Dawes County Fairgrounds Friday-Sunday.

This past week the Chadron State rodeo team traveled to Fort Collins, Colo., to compete in the Colorado State University Rodeo. The women’s team continued their outstanding performances and placed first as a team with 350 points, 80 points above Gillette College.

The Chadron State Women’s Rodeo team came in second with 2105 points, just 210 points behind the first place team from Gillette, Wyo., at the Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo, Torrington, this weekend. The Men’s Rodeo team came in seventh with 985 points.

The Chadron State College’s rodeo club’s next competition in the region will be March 28-30 at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, and will be an opportunity for the competitors to carry over the success they had this past week at the Gillette College Rodeo held in Gillette, Wyo.
