The Chadron State wrestlers had quite the weekend, wrestling three duals in four days. They wrestled against New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, on Thursday night; Northern State University, Aberdeen, South Dakota, on Saturday afternoon; and Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, South Dakota, on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles won all three duals, advancing their season record to 14-1 with a 10-win streak.

The Eagle wrestlers traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to compete in the 2016 RMAC Wrestling Championships at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. The RMAC partnered with USA Wrestling, the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, and the U.S. Olympic Training Center for these championships. This was the first RMAC-only wrestling championship tournament since 1996, and it was also the first collegiate wrestling tournament at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

The CSC wrestling team improved to an 11-1 record, courtesy of two wins over RMAC opponents, Colorado State University-Pueblo and Adams State University. It was the first victory over CSU-Pueblo under Head Coach Brett Hunter.

The CSC wrestling team faced off Friday as they competed against each other during the annual Black and Cardinal Classic in the NPAC. The Black team, coached by Graduate Assistant Dustin Stodola and Volunteer Assistant Dylan Fors, edged out the Cardinal team, coached by Assistant Coach Kamron Jackson, 32-15, during the intersquad match.

The Chadron State wrestlers started practicing for this season Oct. 10 in preparation for their 2015-2016 season. Their first tournament will be the Cowboy Open Tournament hosted by the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Saturday.
