Eagle wrestlers improve season record to 14-1 after 3-dual weekend

The Chadron State wrestlers had quite the weekend, wrestling three duals in four days. They wrestled against New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, on Thursday night; Northern State University, Aberdeen, South Dakota, on Saturday afternoon; and Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, South Dakota, on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles won all three duals, advancing their season record to 14-1 with a 10-win streak.

6 wrestlers shine at RMAC championships

The Eagle wrestlers traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to compete in the 2016 RMAC Wrestling Championships at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. The RMAC partnered with USA Wrestling, the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, and the U.S. Olympic Training Center for these championships. This was the first RMAC-only wrestling championship tournament since 1996, and it was also the first collegiate wrestling tournament at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

3 wrestlers earn gold at Laramie

Following the season opener at the Cowboy Open Tournament Saturday at the University of Wyoming, Terrance McKinney, sophomore of Spokane, Washington, 149-pounds, earned D2Wrestle.com National Wrestler of the Week, RMAC Wrestler of the Week, and Super Region Four Wrestler of the Week. McKinney scored a 14-3 major decision in his first match, pinned his next three opponents and received a forfeit in the finals.
