RLA and WHCR raise suicide awareness with a Suicide Prevention Walk

It was a nice Sunday evening when students, faculty and family members walked together around campus, participating in the Suicide Prevention Walk beginning at the Clock Tower by the Student Center, to help raise awareness about suicide as well as raising funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Working for the record

As part of Spring Daze, Chadron State College Creative Dining Services worked with the Guinness World record book to Construct the Record 2017. They built the world’s longest continuous taco line Friday in the Chicoine Center.

Sayaloune, Candelaria crowned Mr., Mrs. Spring Daze

Johnathan Sayaloune, 21, junior of Scottsbluff, was crowned Mr. Spring Daze and Kayla Candelaria, 20, junior of Brooklyn, New York claimed the tiara as Mrs. Spring Daze Saturday in the Student Center.

Clearing Paths

In association with the Northwest Nebraska Trails Association and the National Forest Service, volunteers from Chadron State’s fifth annual The Big Event began clearing hiking trails south of Chadron.
