The Eagle is the 2012 winner of the Nebraska Collegiate Media Association’s Best College Newspaper. CSCEagle.com is the 2012 winner of the NCMA’s Best in College Digital Media.

The Eagle has acted as the voice of Chadron State College since 1920.
Its print edition is published weekly during the academic year except during vacations and exam weeks. CSCEagle.com is updated daily during the academic year. The Eagle print edition is distributed to students, faculty and staff as well as to interested readers off campus.

All students are eligible to join the staff, and the paper’s letters to the editor section provides a forum for readers to express their opinions.

The Eagle is funded by the college, student activity fees, and advertising revenue.
