Students brought new life to campus as the Chadron State College Residence Life Association hosted a Planting Party in The Hub at 9 p.m. Thursday.

he Chadron State College Residence Life Association, with help from the CSC United Club, discussed lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT+) terminology and being an ally in a brief program at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Twenty-four schools from four states—Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado—participated in the 45th annual High Plains Band and Choir Festival Monday and Tuesday. During these two days, directors from participating schools attended presentations from CSC faculty on topics relating to music education while students rehearsed for the final concert, which was Tuesday night.

Students learned how to cook various breakfast dishes such as eggs, breakfast burritos, bacon, and hash browns at Cooking With Jazz Monday evening in The Hub.

The Chadron State College Residence Life Association rang in the Chinese New Year in the Hub at 7 p.m. Friday.

Tuesday evening, Stacy Nadeau, professional speaker, discussed common themes of Disney princess movies, chick-flicks, and romantic comedies with the nine women in attendance. Nadeau explained why it is important for women to critically think about where we get our ideas about relationships and our ideas about beauty.

Approximately 115 students showed up to The Hub for the Kent Hall Kegger, 9 p.m. Saturday. The Kent Hall Kegger taught alcohol awareness to the students. It showed the students how to drink safely.

Many laughs were shared in the Student Center Ballroom at The Pit’s Annual Lip Sync Battle Thursday, Nov. 10. With multiple group and solo performances, there never was a dull moment.
